Mary E. Root, age 67, of Oscoda, MI, died Monday, February 6, 2023 in Tawas City, MI. She was born on December 4, 1955 in Tawas, MI to the late George and Grace Foster.
Mary married her loving husband on February 23, 1974.
Mary worked for more than 20 years as a Medical Biller/Coder for Ascension Health System at the Oscoda Health Park. She enjoyed walking, playing scrabble with family and friends, and cooking and baking.
Mary is survived by her sons, Anthony (Kari) Root, Oscoda, MI and Craig (Becky) Root, Jacksonville, Fl.; brothers, Tom (Carol) Foster, Roscommon, MI., James (Susan) Foster, Alpena, MI., and John (Kim) Foster, Belleville, IL.; sisters, Cathy (Ed) Anderson, Mikado, MI. and Christine (Gregg) Kirbie, Woodward, OK.; grandchildren, Blake, Lane, and Max Root, Savannah, GA. and Raymond Root, Oscoda, MI., Zac Wheeler, Seattle, WA., Kam Wheeler, Oscoda, MI., and Rhett Capers, Jacksonville, Fl. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Root and sister, Margaret Highfill.
