Mae Long, 78, of Standish

Mae Frances (Parker) Long, passed away on February 11, 2023, in Saginaw, MI. She was born on July 24, 1944, in Highland Park, MI to Robert E. and Dorothy Pearl (Lawson) Parker. After high school Mae moved to Ortonville, MI, where she lived for 29 years, until moving to Turner, MI in 1973. She worked in the shop at Magline in Standish, MI. for 17 years until retiring in 2004. Mae enjoyed bird watching, crocheting, gardening, thrifting/fishing.

She is survived by her children, Jean (Dave) Cook, Julie (Ken) Edmonds, Bob (Lisa) Marsh, Tracy (Dave) Fitzgerald, Jeff (Trudy) Marsh; grandchildren, Matt, Chad, Jessica, Alyssa, Kayla, Nicole, Krisi, Emily, Kaytlin, Zack, Mackenzie; 25 great grandchildren; siblings, Robert (Delores) Parker, James (Linda) Parker, Bill (Sheila) Parker, Mary (Jim) Parker, Nancy (George) Thompson, Theresa (Chuck) Miller, John Parker, Carol (Rob) Goodman, Joe (Marva) Parker; Lisa (Ed) Spencer, Amy Parker. In addition to her parents, Mae is preceded in death by her brother Roger Parker.

Per her wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life is planned for a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Hale Fish Thrift Store or Compassus Hospice of West Branch. Condolences and memories can be shared with the family at www.bureshfuneralhomes.com.
