Kenneth W. Pacholka II, 62, of Oscoda

One of the hardest things in life as a parent is to bury a son or daughter. I regret to say that the passing of my son, Kenneth W. Pacholka, II was one of those things. His passing has taken its toll on all his family and he will be missed by all. Ken passed away after a brief illness on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at Lakeview Manor Nursing Home in Tawas City, with his son, Kenneth W. (Beverly Alderman) Pacholka, III nearby.

Ken was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce M. Pacholka and twin nephews. He leaves behind his son, Kenneth W. Pacholka, III and grandson, Skyler K. Pacholka; his father, Kenneth W. Pacholka of Oscoda, MI; brothers, Todd A. Pacholka of Florida and Jeffery J. (Carolyn) Pacholka of Midland, MI; his extended brother, Jimmy (Laurie) Reames of Indiana; nieces and nephews, Jaclyn R. (Cody) McCoy of Midland, Todd A. (Paige Perry) Pacholka of Oscoda, MI and Nathan A. (Megan Vincent) Pacholka of New Mexico and his close friends, Jim and Michelle Baggett of Kingsley, MI who had the chance to visit with Ken prior to his passing.

Ken was born on July 28, 1960 at Tinker AFB, OK into a military family. He traveled throughout the country with his family before moving to Oscoda in November 1973. Ken attended Oscoda High School and graduated with his class in 1978. During his high school days, he played football and was on the wrestling team. Ken’s hobby was collecting M & M memorabilia and figures. Ken worked his final 18 years at Minth of Tawas City as an operator for Martin Gayeski, who Ken always considered a close friend.

At the present time, a memorial is being planned to take place on Ken’s birthday in July 2023. You may offer your condolences online to the family at www.bureshfuneralhomes.com.
