Georgia Bean, 82, of Pinconning

Georgia Fredricka Atha Bean, age 82, passed peacefully at home. She was born to Madalean Whaler Atha Deyoung and Fredrick Atha on June 9, 1940, in Gladwin, Michigan. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren as they were the center of her world. She loved traveling, gardening, music, musicals, operas, and watching hockey, and was an avid reader. She was known to light up the room with her smile. She worked for Pinconning Area Schools as the lead elementary school secretary until she retired. She loved children and could often be found at school events.

Georgia is survived by her children, Rachel Snell, Duane (Anna) Bean II, Barry Bean, Nicholas Bean, and Jeremy (Kristie) Bean. Grandchildren, Thomas Rancour II, David (Kaitlyn) Snell, Duane Bean III, Anthony Bean, Truman Bean, Anique Bean, Nathan Bean, Elijah Bean, Gabby (Corey) Knauer, and Elizabeth Holton. Great Grandchildren, Annaleigha Smith-Bean, Octavia and Anthony Knauer, and Shepherd Snell. Brothers Barry (Kathy) Atha and Robert (Connie) Atha. As well as her many nieces and nephews Loving In-laws Marot Rys, Raymond Bean, and Thomas Bean. And a special family friend and caregiver David Warren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband Duane (Butch) Bean, her sister Phoebe (Ray) Bean, and her son-in-law, David Snell.

As wished a showing and memorial service will take place on Saturday, February 25, 2023, from 11:00 AM -5:00 PM with the Memorial Service beginning at 5:00 Pm at the Lee Ramsay Funeral Home in Pinconning, Michigan, with Larry Wilson presiding.

Georgia’s family would like to acknowledge the Promerica Hospice care team for their professional and loving care. Their attention and dedication are greatly appreciated.
