Alvin Saunders Gamburd, Jr., age 78, of Roscommon, died on Thursday, February 23, 2023, in Traverse City, Michigan.
Alvin was born June 2, 1944, in Bay City, Michigan, the son of Alvin and Roma (Rich) Gamburd.
Alvin married Carol Childress on August 11, 1993.
Alvin will be remembered as being a wonderful husband and friend. He enjoyed many things in life. He loved to woodwork. He enjoyed and was actually pretty good at Karaoke. He liked to play pool, play cards and shoot darts.
Alvin will be greatly missed by family and friends. He is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Carol; children: Steven Foss, Dawn Klimeck, Lisa Allard, Daniel Warf, Jason Garcia, Chris Garcia, Pamela D’Angelo; 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; sisters: Barb (Kim) Wright, Lola (Tommy) Grant, Jaymi (Fred) Baty, Wendy (Billy) Freshney; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Alvin is preceded in death by his parents; sons: Kevin Gamburd and John Gamburd; brother, Percy Dubay.
Alvin’s family has chosen to remember him privately at this time.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Wagner and Walsh Funeral Directors, Roscommon.
