Terry Darling, 72, of Lewiston

Mr. Terry Wayne Darling, 72 of Lewiston, Michigan died suddenly on January 21, 2023. He was born in Highland Park, Michigan on April 29, 1950. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army and served during the Vietnam war. On October 18, 1969 he married, Valerie (Sills) Darling and together the couple celebrated 52 years of marriage before his passing. Together they have resided in Lewiston for the past 30 years. Terry was a member of both the VFW and American Legion. He had a variety of hobbies including his love for camping, old cars, football, snowmobiling, and trips to the casino. He was a family man and adored time with his grandchildren. He is and will be deeply missed.

Terry is survived by his loving wife, Valerie Darling of Lewiston; daughters, Denise Muth; Stacy (Jonathan) Wheatley both of Madison Heights; grandchildren, Joshua Muth, Bennett Wheatley, Sullivan Wheatley; five half siblings; and near to his heart, Jeanette Maguire. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services for Mr. Darling will take place at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at Green Funeral Home, Lewiston, Pastor Dave Fisher officiating. Visitation will take place on Friday, January 27, 2023, at the funeral home from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. As many of you know, Terry was a Vietnam veteran. He served from 1969-1970 in the American Division, 1st Infantry Division, and 2nd Armored Division. Terry earned many distinguished metals for his duties including a Purple Heart.
