Sandra Lee Ludwig, age 82, of St. Helen, died on Thursday, January 5, 2023, in Grayling, Michigan.
Sandy was born August 5, 1940, in Ada, Ohio, the daughter of Robert and Wanda (Garlach) Jones.
Sandy worked many years in the Gerrish-Higgins Public Schools. She started out as an aide at St. Helen Elementary where she took over librarian duties, eventually transferring to Roscommon Elementary as librarian. Sandy will always be remembered for enjoying her gardening. She loved to cook. She enjoyed spending time doing crossword puzzles, reading, and her daily scratch off ticket. She was often seen around town on her golf cart. She was known as “the golf cart lady.”
Sandy will be greatly missed by family and friends. She is survived by her children: Stacie Haldeman of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Emanuel (Michelle) Ludwig of Howard City, Michigan; grandchildren: Stephan, TJ, Jennifer, and Paige; sister, Joyce Rumer; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Sandra is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James; siblings: Pat, Lois, Peggy, Rose, Jeannie, Marvin, Chuck, Bill, and Bob
Sandra’s family has chosen to remember her privately at this time.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Wagner and Walsh Funeral Directors, Roscommon.
