Terry Stevens, 65, of Rhodes

On Saturday, December 10, 2022, God looked around the garden, and found an empty space. He looked down upon the earth and saw Terry’s tired face. He knew that she was weary, and He knew she was in pain. He put His arms around her and lifted her to rest. She was born in Bay City, Michigan to Donald J. and Dorothy A. (Hubbard) Groulx on March 3, 1957. Terry graduated from Sienna Heights University where she received an Associate degree in Theological Studies. Terry walked her faith every minute of every day and was always in his word learning more and teaching the good news so others may find the peace and love that only comes from Jesus. She shared this with her church family at Holy Trinity Parish, Pinconning, Michigan, where she was a Lay Minister and former Director of Education and taught adult classes throughout the Saginaw Diocese.

She enjoyed nature, Ranger rides at “the ranch in the woods,” watching the birds and animals – capturing their beauty in her photos. Above all, her greatest joys were her twin grandsons, whom she cherished more than anything.

Terry married Michael Stevens on May 8, 1993, at Sacred Heart Church, Kawkawlin, Michigan, he survives her. She is also survived by her son, Eric (Kay) Young, her twin grandsons, Ethan and Ryan Young, her mother, Dorothy, brothers, David (Debbie) Groulx, Gary (Kathy) Groulx, and Steve (Julia Winsett) Groulx, sisters Debra (William) Stevens and Lori Marsh. She is preceded in death by her father, Donald and her first husband, Robbie Young.

Funeral Mass service will be celebrated, Thursday, December 15, 2022, at 11:00 am from Holy Trinity Church – St. Michael Parish, Pinconning, Michigan with Rev. Fr. Matthew Federico, followed by burial at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Pinconning, Michigan. Family will greet friends on Wednesday, December 14, 2022, from 1:00 – 8:00 pm at Rivertown Funeral Chapel, Kawkawlin, Michigan, with a Prayer Vigil at 7:00 pm and also on Thursday, December 15, 2022, at Holy Trinity Church – St. Michael Parish from 10:00 am until the time of service.
