Joseph Alan Keesaer, age 86, of Higgins Lake, died on Saturday, December 10, 2022, in Roscommon, Michigan.
Joe was born January 14, 1936, in Lansing, Michigan, the son of Fred and Dorothy (Downs) Keesaer.
Joe married Starr Featherston on May 20, 1996, in Toledo, Ohio.
Joe loved his motorcycles and cars. That was his enjoyment. He liked going to car shows. He absolutely adored Higgins Lake. When Joe was 16, he road his motorcycle to Higgins Lake and swore from that moment he would have a house on Higgins Lake.
Joe will be greatly missed by family and friends. He is survived by his beloved wife, Starr, of 24 years; children: Shelley (Scott) Weiss of Seattle, Washington, David (Pam) Keesaer of Williamston, Michigan; stepchildren: Wendy (Bob) Perry of St. Augustine, Florida, Delayne (Misty) Hodges of Crosby, Tennessee, Joy Hodges of Satsuma, Florida, Aaron Hodges of Polk City, Florida, Michelle Melone of Warren, Michigan; grandchildren: Lauren Weiss and Ryan (Maddie) Weiss, as well as several other step grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Linda (Art) Compton of Helena, Montana; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Joe is preceded in death by his parents; sisters: Phyllis and Judy.
Joe’s family has chosen to remember him privately at this time.
