Barbara Clark, 84, of Roscommon

Barbara Lee Clark, age 84, of Roscommon, died on Thursday, December 8, 2022, at her home.

Barbara was born April 30, 1938, in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Micheal and Bessie (VanMeer) Swerdan.

Barbara married Robert Lawrence Clark on September 20, 1958, in Gaines, Michigan. They had 46 wonderful years together until Robert’s death in 2004.

Barbara was passionate about gardening and tending to her landscape. She enjoyed making floral arrangements as well as antique collecting. If you wanted to do something, Barbara would be the first to jump at the opportunity to do it with you. Barbara will always be remembered for having a generous heart that was open to everyone.

Barbara will be greatly missed by family and friends. She is survived by her children: Sandra Lee (Jim Yeager) Butler of Houghton Lake, Michigan; Anne Maria (Sean Ford) Clark-Bodis of South Lyon, Michigan, Thomas William (Jeri Schwartz) Clark of Houghton Lake, Michigan; grandkids: Kendra (Brandon Kramer) Butler of Traverse City, Michigan; William (Courtney Herczak) Butler of Traverse City, Michigan, Stephan William Clark of Grayling, Michigan, Nicholas Lawrence Bodis of Austin, Texas; Alexander John Bodis of Traverse City, Michigan, Addison Wesley Clark-Bodis of Traverse City, Michigan; great-grandkids: Nikki Belle, Kensington, Claire; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert; son, Craig Clark; granddaughter, April Rayne-Lynn Clark; brothers: Robert Swerdan and Michael Swerdan.

Family and friends will gather from 11:00-1:00 PM until the time of the Memorial Service at 1:00 PM on Monday, December 12, 2022, at Wagner and Walsh Funeral Directors, 143 Lake Street, Roscommon, Michigan 48653.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Wagner and Walsh Funeral Directors, Roscommon.
