Harold “Butch” David Adams (74) of Grayling, MI passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at home on Wednesday, December 7, 2022.
Butch was born to Donald and Shirley (Blake) Adams in Detroit, MI on November 3, 1948. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and golfer. He was a proud member of the Operator’s Union Local 324. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed his bonfires and getting love from his fur buddies. Butch was a one-of-a-kind man whose presence will be dearly missed.
Butch is survived by his wife, Eileen Lechkun-Adams of 41 years; children, Shellie (Tony) Garza, Jimmy Chapin, Charlotte (Brian) Davis, Allen (Lisa) Adams, Samantha Adams, Joshua (Crystal) Adams, Stephen (Kaylynn) Adams and Nick (Amanda) Figurski; many grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; siblings, Ruth (Jim) Durrance, Chuck (Lisa) Adams, Patty (Wally) Anchor and Kimberly (Jerry) Peruzzi; many nieces and nephews; many special friends; and his fur buddies. Butch is preceded in death by both parents, 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Butch’s family would also like to give special thanks to his nursing staff, Ruth Miller and Jason Strach, for their tremendous work, help and going above and beyond with Butch’s care.
Visitation and Celebration of Butch’s Life will take place Saturday, December 10, 2022, 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm at Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home in Grayling, MI, 1108 W. North Down River Rd., Grayling, MI 49738.
