Ruth Goretski, 76, of Glennie

Ruth Ann Goretski, Age 76, of Glennie, MI passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2022 at Ascension St. Mary’s Hospital in Saginaw, MI.  She was born in Flint, MI on August 15, 1946 to the late Basil and Eleanor Campbell (Alexander).

Ruth married Bernard Goretski on September 28, 1985 in Glennie, MI.  Over the years she worked as a professional cook, factory worker and she was self-employed with her arts and crafts.  Ruth and her husband also owned and operated the Oasis Bar in Glennie.

She enjoyed working on various arts and crafts, working on her flower gardens and most especially spending time with her family.  Ruth was very proud that at the age of 69 she completed the shore to shore hike with her son.  This was a journey that took them from Lake Michigan to Lake Huron.

She was involved with the food pantry at Lott Baptist Church and she played BINGO weekly.

Ruth is survived by her husband of 37 years, Bernard “Bernie” Goretski of Glennie, MI; six children, son Bob (Lisa) Hardwick, Jr of Glennie, MI, son Scott (Sandy) Hardwick of Bay City, MI, daughter Lisa (Doug) Goodenough of Kalamazoo, MI, son Mike Hardwick of Frankenmuth, MI, son Donald Hardwick of Tawas City, MI and daughter Sharla (Steve) Kinder of Rockledge, FL.

She is also survived by her brother Mike (Judy) Campbell of WI, 13 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

She was proceeded in death by her parents.  The family will receive friends at the Buresh Funeral Home in Hale, MI on Thursday, December 1, 2022 from 11:00 am until the time of the funeral at 2:00 pm.  Memorials may be directed to the family and you may offer condolences at www.bureshfuneralhomes.com.
