Francis D. West passed away peacefully on Monday, October 31, 2022 in Tawas, MI. Frank was born to Leo and Marquerite (Manausa) West on November 3, 1936, in Flint, MI. He married Pearl Randt on September 17, 1983. He retired after 30 years with Buick in Flint.
Frank was a craftsman at heart. Working with wood, he made beautiful wooden crosses. He was also a terrific candy maker. He loved to socialize and would talk to anybody. Everybody loved him. He volunteered at Lakeview Manor Bingo and at the UAW. He also enjoyed fishing.
Frank is survived by his wife Pearl, of 39 years; stepchildren, Wayne (Nancy) Jersey, Diane Williamson, Lucinda Jersey, Barbara Sloan; grandchildren, Michelle Peppler, Angela, Cynthia, Michael, Shelia, Catherine, Brian, Amanda, Hannah, Cary; many great grandchildren; nephew, Roger (Lisa) Packard; niece, Laura West. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by; daughter, Cheryl Lynn Johnson; brothers, Ken West, James West; daughters in law, Delphine West, Donna West.
Visitation will held at Buresh Funeral Home in Hale, MI on Monday, November 7, 2022 from 4:00 – 6:00 pm. An additional time of visitation will be offered Tuesday, November 8, 2022, from 10:00 – 11:00 with the funeral beginning at 11:00, at St. James Catholic Church in Whittemore, MI. Interment will be at Reno Township Cemetery.
