Brandon Antaya, 35, of East Tawas

Brandon Sean Antaya, 35, passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2022 in Largo, Florida surrounded by family and friends. He was born on July 8, 1987 in Tawas City, MI, the son of Rodney Antaya and Cindy Harbin.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Patricia Antaya; and cousins, Dillon Antaya and Douglas Kelley.

Brandon is survived by his grandparents, Carl and Jean Harbin of East Tawas, parents, Rodney (Holly) Antaya of Holland, and Cindy Harbin of East Tawas; brothers, Joe Bose of Gaylord, Brent (Kacy) Hinkley of Rose City; sisters, Sarah Bose of Holland, Mariah (Brett) Hunt of Hale; nephews, Ethan Hunt, Bryce Hinkley; niece, Hayden Hinkley; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Brandon was a truly one of a kind soul. To know him was to have your life impacted by him. Whether it was his crazy ideas, the shirt off his back, his random rabbit holes of life discovery, or just the boyish and charming smile, he was sure to brighten your life – or at the very least, leave you a little confused, but smiling all the same. The love he had for his niece and nephews will stay with them forever as their “Uncle Tornado”. The shenanigans and fun-loving mischief will always live on within them. There was no adventure too outrageous for Brandon to embark on, as the unknown was nothing to fear. While his life was all too short, he had truly lived what seems to be a thousand lifetimes and made the most of his brief time here on this earth.

The generosity from Brandon was astounding, regardless of the situation. Needless to say, Brandon gave in death, as he gave in life, and touched countless lives by being an organ donor.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2022, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Father Rushman Hall Knights of Columbus in East Tawas, Michigan.

In lieu of flowers, please bring your stories and tales of Brandon and his antics. Stories are how we remember those we love and their wild journeys along the way. There are sure to be quite a few that will bring surprise and laughter to his family and friends.
