Ronald Russell DeShano, 80, of Whittemore, MI went to his final resting place on October 24th, 2022. Ron was born in Clio, Michigan on June 4th, 1942. He was the 4th of 6 children born to Lawrence and Irene (Furton) DeShano. His childhood was spent traveling the country with his parents visiting and living in nearly every state in the U.S. by the age of 14. He kept busy with wood working, gardening, hunting, and fishing. He loved and respected nature and felt a peace while in the woods or on the lake. Those who knew him best will certainly have memories of hunting and fishing with him. It was during these final 23 years of life that he taught his daughters and granddaughters the appreciation for the Michigan wilderness with skills such as hunting, fishing, and trapping.
