Robert A. Jacoby Jr., 61, of Houghton Lake aka “Robbie”, “Rob Bob”, “RBJ”, “Dad”, “Handsome Rob” died Friday October 7, 2022 of pneumonia.
Rob was born on Halloween October 31, 1960 to parents Bob & Carole Jacoby. 1979 Rob graduated from Houghton Lake High School. 1982 he served as a diesel mechanic for the US Army and was overseas in Korea on the DMZ. In 1985 Rob was honorably discharged and moved to Arizona. He became a mechanic for South West Marine.
In 1989 Rob met his now wife Richelle Lee. In 1992 their first daughter Brittney Jacoby was born. In 1994 the couples second daughter Jessica Jacoby was born. The family moved to Michigan in 1993. In 1996 Rob bought now RBJ Storage and Service. He owned and operated RBJ with his hired man and trusted friend Cortland Hodo.
Rob is survived by his wife and two daughters, sisters; Kathleen (Terral) Hodo and Beth (Stan) Christler, nephew; Colin Hodo, Uncle Tom Hoskin and Uncle Don (Cathy) Hoskin. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A service will be held on Sunday October 23, 2022 from 2-4 pm at the Markey Township Hall located at 7400 E. Houghton Lake Drive, Houghton Lake, Michigan 48629. In-lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family. Rob will be missed. Christler Funeral Home-Prudenville Chapel is serving the family.
