Helen Kasky, 92, of Hillman

Helen June Kasky, 92, passed away Friday, September 2, 2022 at her home in Hillman, Michigan.

Helen, or as all know her, June, was born December 26, 1929, to the late George L. and Mabel (Schoening) Walters, in Sligo, Pennsylvania; although Michigan is where she spent the majority of her life.

June lived a full and happy life. She enjoyed spending time with her family, watching the Game Show Network, drinking coffee, and caring for her beloved pets throughout the years. June was most known for her loving nature, fun personality, and silly quirks. She put a smile on the face of everyone around her and will be missed dearly by her many friends and family.

June had a number of occupations throughout her lifetime but her favorite job was being a mother. After marrying Clifford Joseph Kasky in 1948, she raised six beautiful children. A seventh child, Gary, was also loved, but sadly passed away shortly after birth.

She is survived by her children, Diana (Don) Cantle, Clifford (Sarah) Kasky, Rickey Kasky, Ronnie Kasky, Keith “Randy” Kasky and Crystal (Gary) Hollingsworth. June will also be missed by her grandchildren, Kimberly, Cristi, Donnie, Joel, Jessica, Kelly, Angela, Eric, Brandon, Sheldon, Jesse, Katie, Ricky, Ryan, Alaina, Jayme, as well as twenty-seven great-grandchildren.

June is preceded in death by her parents, siblings Robert (JoAnne) Walters, John (Judy) Walters, Kathleen “Tootie” Walters, husband Clifford Kasky, and beloved grandson, Lennon Ray Kasky.

Visitation and memorial service took place at Green Funeral Home in Hillman. Visitation was Thursday, September 8, 2022, and the memorial took place on September, 9, 2022. Burial followed at Hillman Rust Township Cemetery. A luncheon followed at the Hillman Methodist Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Michigan Elk Country Animal Shelter in Atlanta, MI – an organization that was very dear to her heart.
