James ‘Buddy’ King, 58, of Beaverton

James “Buddy” King, 58, of Beaverton, passed away on Thursday, August 18, 2022. He was born on April 20, 1964, the son of James Earl King Sr. and Helen (Hayes) King. James served his country in the United States Army. He was a loving father, grandfather and spouse. He enjoyed golfing with good friends and spending time around the fire with loved ones. Buddy found great joy in the time he spent with his grandchildren and loved cars, especially his classic cars. He has lived in Beaverton for 10 years, previously residing in Zeeland, MI and Elizabethtown, KY.

He is survived by his life partner, significant other of 34 years: Valarie Villarreal, children: Jamie King (Ray) and James King; grandchildren: Ray Jones III and Eluna King; father: James King Sr., sister: Joan Johnson; aunt: Linda faye Melton; uncle: David Hayes; nephew James Wood; and niece: Kamie Wood.

He is preceded in death by his mother: Helen; sister: Laura King Wood; grandparents; and uncle: Sammy king.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, from 4-8:00 P.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Beaverton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made according to the wishes of the family. www.hall-kokotovichfuneralhome.com
