Betty Crittenden, 88, of Fairview

Betty Jean Crittenden, age 88, of Fairview, MI, passed away on August 8, 2022, at Ausable Valley Home in Fairview. Betty was born in Mecosta County, MI on August 13, 1933, to Norman and Freda (Alexander) Crittenden. She married Frank Wyrembelski Sr on October 25th, 1953, raising four children in southeast Michigan. She retired from the Macomb County Sheriff Department in 1994, settling permanently in Fairview in 2015 after spending summers in Luzerne, MI. Betty loved to play Bingo, work in her gardens, solve crossword puzzles, watch science fiction and western movies and to stop at every garage sale she could find. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Betty is survived by her children, Anthony (Theresa) Wyrembelski, Frank (Judy) Wyrembelski, Danielle (Brandon) Koze, and Clifford (Melissa) Wyrembelski; her sister Thelma Crowl; grandchildren, Jeff Wyrembelski, Lisa (Michael) Jacob, Chris (Nikki) Wyrembelski, Anthony (Danielle) Wyrembelski Jr., Tim (Jessica) Sexton, Amy (Edward) Jacques, Taylor (Logan) Clare, and Mackenzi Wyrembelski; great grandchildren, Anthony III, Jayson, and Dylan Wyrembelski, Eric, Kristian, Kaeden and Grant Jacob, Wyatt and Addison Sexton, Tessa Jacques, and Hayden Clare; great great granddaughters, Sophia and Eylah Wyrembelski and Isabella Jacob.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Freda, her brother Norman, her sisters Myrtle, Evalene and Alvina, and grandson Jason Wyrembelski.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. Interment of ashes to follow, at a later date, at the Luzerne Cemetery. A future Celebration of Life is being planned for downstate.
