Cathy Lynn Doughty, 66, passed away Friday, April 29, 2022. She was born October 6, 1955 in Saginaw to the late LaVerne and Betty (Breier) Dankert. Cathy graduated from Chesaning High School in 1973.
Following retirement from Flint Buick Cathy enjoyed flower gardening and canning. She also loved to go to the casino, “Cha-Ching”. Cathy was a member of the Daughters of Isabella and loved to volunteer for funeral dinners. She loved family get togethers, better known as glamping.
Cathy is survived by her husband, Glenn and 2 step-daughters, Dawn Raybould and Amy Conley. She is also survived by 8 siblings; Sheryl (Ed) Sowa, Steven Dankert, Susan Stinnett, Cynthia Dankert (Jeff), Jennifer Walsh, Allison Meyer, Kris Dankert and Jon Dankert and 16 nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, LaVerne and Betty Dankert, she was predeceased by a brother, Gary Dankert, a brother in-law, John Walsh and a niece, Tammy Jo Stinnett.
The family will greet family and friends Tuesday, May 3, 2022 1:00 pm till 5:00 pm at the Lee Ramsay Funeral Home-STANDISH CHAPEL, Standish, Michigan.
According to Cathy’s wishes a funeral service will not be held at this time. A Memorial Service celebrating Cathy’s life will be planned in the future.
In lieu of flowers, those considering an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the wishes of the family.
