Frances “Fran” J. Kelsey, age 91, of Prudenville passed away on Saturday March 19, 2022 at home.
Fran was born on December 18, 1930 in Lansing, Michigan to Howard and Sela (Davis) Brauher.
She was married on July 29, 1950 in Angola, Indiana to Keith F. Kelsey. The couple moved to Prudenville in 1977 from Gaines, Michigan.
Fran had retired her position as Office Manager for Victor George Olds, in Flint, Michigan, where she had mentored many young women in the field of automotive accounting. Once in Prudenville the couple became active members of the Houghton-Higgins Elks Lodge giving much of their time and service. Fran later became a member of the Houghton Lake Eagles and Houghton Lake Moose Clubs. She loved to go dancing.
Fran is survived by her children; Kathy (Bob) Schlaff of Cape Coral, Florida and Kevin Kelsey of Houghton Lake, grandchildren; Keith (Kylie) Kelsey and Katlin (Jacob) Jones, great grandchildren; Amelia, Layla and Zepplin, “beloved” sister; Joann Myers.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband “and love of her life”; Keith F. Kelsey, sister; Harriett Smith and half brother; Keith Lepley.
Per Fran’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life Service is pending. Christler Funeral Home-Prudenville Chapel is serving the family. Condolences can be sent to the family online at www.christler-holdship.com
