James Burr, age 55, of Grayling, died on Sunday, March 20, 2022, in Grayling, Michigan.
Jim was born December 17, 1966, in Midland, Michigan, the son of Willis Burr and Nettie Umphrey.
Jim enjoyed fishing, anything he could do that involved working with his hands, and appreciating the beauty of the outdoors. As much as he could be, he was always outside. He was also a skilled airplane mechanic who enjoyed many years working in the aviation industry.
Jim will be greatly missed by family and friends.
He is survived by his son and daughters, James Burr Jr of Wichita, Kansas, Amanda Stephenson of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Rebecca Allen of Owasso, Oklahoma, and Samantha Burr of Grayling, Michigan; his brother David Burr of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and his two sisters, Julie Burr-Waltz of Drummond Island, Michigan, and Sherrie Roe of Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
He is also survived by many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Jim is preceded in death by both of his parents, and his sister Rhonda Dawson.
Jim’s family has chosen to remember him privately at this time.
