Barbara Katherine Eichman, 68, passed away, Thursday, March 3, 2022 at MidMichigan Hospital in West Branch, Michigan.
She was born March 21, 1953 in Bay City, Michigan to the late Edmund G. and Elizabeth J. (Sharp) Kernstock.
Barb graduated from Handy High School in Bay City, Michigan. She married Lester Eichman March 18, 1978, at Faith Lutheran Church in Prescott, Michigan.
Barb and Lester loved to travel. She also enjoyed going camping, sewing and going to craft shows. She loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. Barb was also a 4-H volunteer/leader and a Brownie Leader. In her spare time Barb was also involved in the American Cancer Society. Faith was a very important part of Barb’s life.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Lester, of 43 years and her two daughters, Nichole (Arthur) Gray and Jessica (Jay) Eichman. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Kayla (Quinton) Root, Kristen Gray, Kylie Gray, Kasey Gray, Mackenzie Jenkins, Dom, Alyza, and Leyna and one great grandchild, Parker Root. Barb is survived by one brother, Gary Kernstock.
Besides her parents, Edmund and Elizabeth Kernstock, Barb was predeceased by two brothers, William Kernstock and Donald Kernstock and one grandson, Brett Jenkins.
A Memorial Service Celebrating Barbara’s life will be held Saturday, March 26, 2022 at 1:00 pm at the Faith Lutheran Church, in Prescott, Michigan with Pastor Ted Voll officiating.
The family will greet family and friends, Saturday, March 26, 2022, at Faith Lutheran Church from 10:00 am till time of service at 1:00 pm.
