Robert “Bob” Baehr, 81, passed away peacefully on Saturday March 5, 2022, at Toni & Trish House following a lingering illness.
He was born in Detroit on December 26, 1940, to the late Kurt & Helen (Gertz) Baehr. Bob served in the U. S. Army from 1959 to 1962.
Bob married the former Patricia Lux on June 3, 1972, in Westland, Michigan and she survives him. Throughout his professional career, he has worked for Blue Cross & Blue Shield as a medical account programmer, as well as HBOC and EDS as a salesman, retiring from sales in 1986. Shortly thereafter, they moved from Livonia to Gladwin and owned and operated the West Branch Cinema 3 until last year. Bob also enjoyed starting small unique businesses along with operating the theater with Pat. In his free time, Bob enjoyed relaxing at the lake, hunting and fishing.
Surviving beside his wife of almost 50 years are his children Michelle & Darren Bartnik, Debra & Rick Goodlaski and Deneen & Danny Price; 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; bothers Ron & Roger Baehr and a sister-in-law Penny Lux. He was preceded in death by his brother Richard Baehr and his brother-in-law John Lux.
Graveside services and military honors will be held at a later date at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Those wishing an expression of sympathy are asked to consider donating to The Toni & Trish House, Auburn, Michigan.
