Robert Edward Smith, age 46, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 20, 2022 at his home in Alger, MI. He lived in Alger most of his life.
Bob was born on July 1, 1975 in Midland, MI to Timothy and Carolyn (Kruger) Smith. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, and spending time with his nephews.
Bob is survived by his mother, Carolyn Smith; sisters, Jennifer Smith and Sara Smith; son, Trent Meyer; and nephews, Landen, Tre, Dre’den, and Gre’cen Smith. He is preceded in death by his father, Tim, grandparents, Fred and Bertha Kruger and Edward and Dorothy Smith, and aunt, Inez Thomas.
Visitation will be held at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch on Thursday, February 24, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be at the funeral home on Friday, February 25, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. Rev. Howard Travis will officiate. Burial is at Edwards Township Cemetery in West Branch.
