Yvonne Kay Morgan, age 79, of Au Gres, Michigan passed away Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at Stone Crest Assisted Living in Freeland, Michigan.
She was born July 28, 1942 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Jack and Helen (Krause) Gotham. Yvonne graduated from Au Gres Sims High School with the class of 1960 and on February 11, 1961 married her high school sweetheart, Robert Morgan. Together they raised three daughters, Tammi, Traci and Teri. Yvonne and Bob celebrated nearly 61 years of marriage!
She retired after working many years as a bookkeeper for Au Gres Sims High School. Yvonne also enjoyed spending time as a Cheerleading Coach at the school and in her spare time enjoyed decorating, crafts, gardening, fishing and snowmobiling.
Yvonne is survived by her loving husband, Robert; daughters, Tammi (Dan) King, Traci (Dennis) Demijohn and Teri (John) Brownell; eleven grandchildren, Ashtin King, Bradan (Jessica) King, Carson (Rebecca) King, Danielle (Zack) Nurenberg, Morgan (Jeremy) Kern, Michele (James) VonBerg, Michael (Jessica) Martin, Crystal (Mike) Demijohn, Trevor (Eileen) Demijohn, Mackenzie (Grant) Lukowski, Madison Brownell; eleven great grandchildren, Elijah, Elliott, Emellyn Nurenberg, Jameson King, Jayden and Braylin Zieroff, Alexis Curtis, Jax VonBerg and Landon Kern; numerous nieces, and nephews. In addition to her parents, Yvonne was preceded in death by brother, Jack Gotham; sister, JoAnn Schultz, mother and father-in-law, Norman and Helen Morgan.
Visitation for Yvonne will take place 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Buresh Funeral Home, 101 East Michigan Avenue, Au Gres, Michigan 48703. Funeral ceremony will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Don Gotham officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Alzheimer’s Association.
