Mary Katheren Meir, age 77, passed away on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at her home in Prescott, MI. Mary lived in Prescott since 1977 formerly of Perry, FL.
She was born on August 12, 1944 in Tallahassee, FL to Pearlie and Esther (Fossler) Roberts. Mary was a member of the Mills Township Church of Christ in Skidway Lake and worked in retail sales as a cashier since 1979 in West Branch, MI. She enjoyed arts and crafts and spending time with family. She was also very proud to be a preacher’s daughter.
Mary is survived by her loving husband, Vernon Meir of Prescott; children, Jerry (Rita) Meir of Marysville, WA, Janice (David) Winstead of Pacolet, SC, Sharon Spencer of Jonestown, PA, Saundra (Lenny) Danielson of FL, Shane (Ava) Zettle of London, KY, Jackie (Paul) Bernicchi of Canton, MI, Michael (Jennifer) Spencer of Phenix City, AL, Jamie Meir of West Branch, and Samantha Meir of Prescott; grandchildren, Kassaundra Meyerhoff, Stephen Messina, Michael Spencer II, Andrea Fields, Jozef Gadowski, Jenna Zettle, Spencer Taylor, Jamie Scott Meir, Mekiafa Meir, Zoeyanna Meir, Jayce Meir, Kaden Meir, Bradey Irvine, Ashly Johnson, Nathan Ingram, and James Johnson III; beloved sisters, Shirley Schmid of Tampa, FL, Betty Johnson of Winchester, KY, and Ruth Bethea of Perry, FL; and many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters Lorraine Raulerson and Martha Cooper, and grandson Chad Meir.
Visitation at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Thursday, January 27, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be at the funeral home on Friday, January 28, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. Preacher Bill Sperow will officiate. Burial will be at Selkirk Cemetery.
