Judith Johnson, 81, of Roscommon

Judith Lorraine Johnson, age 81, of Roscommon, formerly from Rochester Hills, died on Friday, January 7, 2022, at her home in the presence and comfort of her daughters.

Judy was born November 28, 1940, in Phillips, Wisconsin, the daughter of Menzo and Doris (Purdy) Cork.

Judy loved quilting and crafting. She taught the love of sewing to her two daughters. Judy was a hardworking school secretary and Kelly Services secretary for many years. She and Louis enjoyed selling their crafts at many shows throughout Michigan. They loved taking many vacations with their grandson, Derek (their little bellhop). Judy started her life growing up on Crooked Lake in Curran, Michigan. She met her husband, Louis, deceased (the love of her life), in East Tawas. Judy ended her journey back up north, peacefully, in Roscommon, Michigan.

Judy will be greatly missed by family and friends. She is survived by her daughters: Andrea (Clint) Malone of Troy, Michigan, and Valerie (Robert) Brincheck of Southfield, Michigan; grandson Derek (Kelsey) Malone; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Judy is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 59 years, Louis; brother Richard Hoffman; and sister Joyce Galford.

Judy’s family has chosen to remember her privately at this time.

The family prefers memorial contributions be made in Judy’s name to Leader Dogs for the Blind, 1039 South Rochester Road, Rochester Hills, Michigan 48307, or Compassus Hospice, 3217 East Michigan 55, Suite B, West Branch, Michigan 48661.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Wagner and Walsh Funeral Directors, Roscommon.
