Ida Mae Petroit, 91, formerly of West Branch and St. Helen

Ida Mae Petroit, age 91, passed away on Friday, January 14, 2022 at Heritage Nursing and Rehabilitation Community in Zeeland, MI. She lived in West Branch, MI since 2016 formerly of St. Helen and Ypsilanti.

Ida was born on June 14, 1930 in Dearborn, MI to Orton and Alice (Doletzky) Miller. She was a member of the Hope Lutheran Church in St. Helen and Ladies of Hope where she was a treasurer for 40 years. Ida enjoyed playing cards at the Senior Center in West Branch and spending time with her family.

Ida is survived by her loving daughter, Penny (Mike) Srock of Ypsilanti; grandchildren, Heather (Mike) Middleton of Zeeland and Steven (Danielle) Srock of Ypsilanti; great grandchildren, Mitchel, Jacob, and Logan Middleton and Ethan Srock; siblings, Carol Huffman, Sally (Don) Mills, Gary (Mary) Miller, Connie VanEssen, Beverly Baker, Susan Mullens; daughter in law, Chris Petroit of Haslett; and sister-in-law, Donna Miller; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, David Petroit; son, Paul Petroit; siblings, Faye (Ernest) Mischka, Allen Miller, Milton Miller, Keith (Anna) Miller, Bonnie Saavedra, and Patty Turrill; in-laws, Peggy Miller and Don Huffman.

Visitation will be held at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in St. Helen on Friday, January 21, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The funeral service will be at Hope Lutheran Church in St. Helen on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Rodney Morrison will officiate. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery.
