Robert “Bob” A. Jacoby Sr., age 90, of Prudenville passed away on Saturday December 25, 2021 at home surrounded by his loving family.
Bob was born on May 5, 1931 in Kenton, Ohio to Lester and Edith (Allen) Jacoby. He served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict.
Bob graduated from Michigan State University and was active in the Sigma Chi Fraternity and where he met his wife Carole. He was married on March 23, 1957 in Birmingham, Michigan to Carole Lee Hoskin. Bob was a District Sales Manager for GM and lived in Troy for several years before moving to Saginaw. The couple moved to Houghton Lake in 1975 from Saginaw.
He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Houghton Lake Eagles, Moose and Elks, the Am Vets and American Legion. Bob was an avid golfer and enjoyed spending his winters in North Fort Myers, Florida.
Bob is survived by his son; Robert (Richelle) Jacoby Jr. of Houghton Lake, daughters; Kathleen (Terral) Hodo of Blanchard and Beth (Stan) Christler of Houghton Lake, grandchildren; Colin, Brittney and Jessica, brother-in-law’s; Tom Hoskin of Rochester and Donald (Kathy) Hoskin of Oregon, several nieces and a nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife; Carole Lee Jacoby.
A Celebration of Life Service will take place at a later date. Interment will be in Roscommon Township Cemetery.
