Harry Sabbagh, 68, of Macomb and Frederic

Hilal Peter Sabbagh “Harry”, 68, of Macomb and Frederic, passed away on August 16, 2021.

Hilal was born to the late Peter Murad and Madoor (Kilano) Sabbagh on September 8, 1952 in Baghdad, Iraq.  He married Karen Weaver on June 1, 1980 in Southfield, Michigan. He was a very hard working man that loved his career. He worked for 42 years at Triumph Gear in Macomb and finally, fully retired two months ago. After that, he always wanted to be busy. That’s the type of man that he was and always has been.

Hilal was a family man that enjoyed spending time up in Frederic. He also enjoyed cooking, hunting, fishing, and playing poker. Hilal was known to his friends as a big storyteller.

Survived by his wife Karen of 41 years. Children: Angela and Nicholas Sabbagh of Macomb. Sister: Hannah (Dekran) Sarkees. Brothers: Jamal (Salwa) Sabbagh and family; Jalal (Eman) Sabbagh and family; and Bahaa (Balsam) Sabbagh and family. Sister in law: Samira Murad and family. Preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Zuhair Murad and Samir Sabbagh.

Visitation for Hilal will be on Monday, August 23, 2021 between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. at Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home. Funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Frederic. Condolences may be sent to www.sorensonlockwood.com.
