Joy Beverly Wright (Reid), 78, of Grayling, passed away on June 17, 2021.
Joy was born in Detroit, Mi on July 24, 1942 to Alvin and Beverly Reid. Joy moved to Grayling, Mi, in 1975 where she worked in the community for many years. Joy worked at her beloved Crawford AuSable Daycare for over 20 years before she retired. She was affectionately known as “Grandma Joy” by hundreds of kids through the years from the daycare.
In addition to spending time with her family Joy loved gardening, music, cooking and arts and crafts. Her greatest love was spending time with her four grandchildren. She is survived by her two sons Sean Wright and Jason Wright. Also survived by her two daughter-in-laws Colette Wright (Sean) and Jamie Wright (Jason). She is additionally survived by her four beloved grandchildren Emiley and Alex Wright (Sean & Colette). And Zeke and Molly Wright (Jason & Jamie).
Joy was proceeded in death by her parents and brother, Daniel Reid. In lieu of flowers or gifts please consider a donation to a favorite charity or donating in Joy’s honor to Crawford AuSable Daycare.
In honoring Joy’s wishes there will be no service. A private family remembrance is being held at a later date.
