LOVELLS – Imilda Mary Stahl, 103, longtime resident of Lovells Township passed away June 26, 2021. Imilda was born in Monroe, Michigan on August 5, 1917 to the late Amos and Dealia (Kinne) Grassley. Imilda had a long and happy marriage to Lloyd E. Stahl, he preceded her in death in 2000.
Imilda was a volunteer at Mercy Hospital for several years and enjoyed helping care for babies in the hospital nursery.
Imilda was a woman of great faith, she imparted peace and comfort to all she met. She was a member of Lovells Community Chapel that actively participated in the ministry and activities of the church. Imilda and her friend Mary proudly rang the church bell every Sunday to let the community know that it was time for church. Imilda was a member of the Cheerful Givers Club and the Hook and Trigger Club. Imilda was a very content and happy resident of Northern Pines Assisted Living in Grayling, MI. Imilda’s family would like to thank the staff for her care over the last 3 1/2 years.
Survived by her son, Tom (Melinda) Stahl of Florida. Grandchildren: Clay Stahl, Trisha (Chris) Greenen, Heather (Scott) Hesington. Great grandchildren: Cole, Kayla, and Skylar. Preceded in death by brother Amos, and sisters, Helen, Frances, Elizabeth, and Alma.
A Celebration of Imilda’s Life will be held at Lovells Community Chapel on August 8, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.sorensonlockwood.com.
