Gerald J. Krupa, ‘Rock N Roll, 73, of Mio

Gerald J. Krupa, “Rock N Roll”, age 73, of Mio Michigan, went home to be with the Lord, while surrounded by his children, on Tuesday April 20, 2021.

Jerry was born in Flint, Michigan on July 6,1947 to Alexander and Rose (Plamondon) Krupa. He served his country during Vietnam in the US Army, 1st Cavalry Division, where he received the Purple Heart. He was a life member of the VFW. He worked as a car hauler for General Motors for many years. Jerry was a longtime resident of Flint and the surrounding area until he moved to Mio in 1997.

During his younger years he enjoyed building and racing cars, as well as working on them and riding his motorcycles. Nothing gave him more joy than seeing his kids and grandkids. He had the greatest smile and laugh, both of which were incredibly contagious, and he had the best sense of humor. He was always the life of the party.

Jerry is survived by his children: Rocky (Rebecca) Krupa, Jennifer (Terry) Krupa- Hawk, Amy (Ryan) Krupa-Wyckoff, Jeriann Krupa, Angie Fisher-Bildson; his siblings: Carol (Larry) Halk, John (Jean) Krupa, Suzi (Said) Mir, Krys (Lisa) Krupa, Rick Gawne; his grandchildren: Kaylee Krupa, Alana Krupa, Josephus Krupa, Brandi Hawk, Shawnee Hawk, Grace Hawk, Robert Hawk, Hunter Wyckoff, Trista Pierce, Paige Krupa and Jackson Krupa; 3 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, cousins, his ex-wives Alice Gillette and Crystal Kane, and numerous friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings: Shirley (Paul) Webber, Jim Krupa, Cathy Gawne; nephews: Jimmy Krupa, Joey Krupa and Matt Krupa.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Friday May 7, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at The Mio Baptist Church, Mio, MI with Pastor Glynn McMorris, along with military honors. Interment of ashes, along with military honors, will take place on Thursday, May 27, 2021 at 1:30 P.M. at Great Lakes Memorial Cemetery, Holly, Michigan.
