Dianne L. Barnes, age 73, of Roscommon, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 30, 2020, in Bay City in the presence and comfort of her family.
Dee was born Friday, December 27, 1946 in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Howard and Loretta (Sarnowski) Artt.
Dee married Carl Barnes, Jr. on May 14, 1994 in Roscommon.
Dee will be sadly missed by family and friends. She is survived by her husband Carl H. Barnes, Jr.; children: Howard Jackson, Tammy Dianne Jackson, Susan Singelyn Burkey, Terry Singelyn, Patty Singelyn Pelton, Chris Singelyn, Michael Singelyn, Michelle Singelyn, John (Shelley) Barnes, Carl (DJ) Duenas, Mike Barnes. She was a proud Grandmother of many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren, brother Donald Artt and sister Leona Artt Mullet Dempsey; and many nieces and nephews and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her father Howard Thomas Artt, her mother Loretta Ruth (Sarnowski) Artt, sister Laura Artt Hayes, daughter Bridgit Jackson, son Matt Jackson, twin angel babies, previous spouses Paul Singelyn and Phil Jackson.
Family and friends will gather from 5-8:00 PM on Thursday, February 6, 2020 at Wagner and Walsh Funeral Directors, 143 Lake Street, Rseoscommon, Michigan 48653. The Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 7, 2020 at St. Hubert Catholic Church, 7612 West Higgins Lake Drive, Roscommon, Michigan 48653.
Dee will be laid to rest in the spring at Crestview Cemetery, Markey Township.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Wagner and Walsh Funeral Directors, Roscommon.
