Elizabeth Deary, age 66, of Higgins Lake, died on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 in Grayling, Michigan in the presence and comfort of her family.
Liz was born September 23, 1952 in San Diego, California, the daughter of Howard and Dorothy (Stitson) Columber. She married Don Deary on May 13, 1972 in Bay City, Michigan. Liz worked for Grayling Nursing and Rehabilitation Community and retired in 2017. She was an active member of St. Hubert Catholic Church. She enjoyed assisting with readings as well as being a Eucharistic minister. Liz was also a longtime member of TOPS. Some of the things Liz enjoyed in her leisure was going camping, reading and going to the beach.
Liz will be greatly missed by family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Don Deary from Higgins Lake; her daughter Angela (Ty) Ellis from Grayling; her son Matthew Deary from Livonia; and her granddaughter Gwendylan; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Liz is preceded in death by her parents and her sisters: Gayle, Candy, and Janine.
Family and friends will gather on Wednesday, January 23, 2019, from 10:00 AM until the time of
the Funeral at 11:00 AM at St. Hubert Catholic Church, 7612 W Higgins Lake Drive, Roscommon, MI 48653.
The Reverend Father Bernard Tyler will be officiating.
Liz will be laid to rest in the spring at Oakwood Cemetery, Lyon Township.
The family prefers memorial contributions be made in Liz’s memory to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73123; or to the American Heart Association, 208 S. LaSalle Street, Suite 1500, Chicago, Illinois 60604-1242.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Wagner and Walsh Funeral Directors, Roscommon.
