Jacob ‘Jake’ Gross of Grayling

Jacob E. “Jake” Gross, 30, of Grayling died Aug. 5, 2017 in an auto accident at Amber Township, Mason County.

He was born Sept. 9, 1986 in Battle Creek to Ronald Samuel and Kathy Jo (Peterson) Gross. He was married to Elizabeth L. Jabar. He served in the US Marines from 2006 to 2010 reaching the rank of Lance Corporal.

A resident of Grayling for the last nine months, he resided for seven years in Roscommon and was employed as a heating and cooling technician by All Shores Heating and Cooling in Houghton Lake.

Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth; four children, Damion and Matthew Adkins, Jacob II and Derek Gross all at home; mother, Kathy Gross of Gladwin; father, Ronald Gross of Grayling; father-in-law, Robert (Theresa) Jaber of Roscommon; mother-in-law, Sahra Colford of Florida; and maternal grandmother, Mary Jane Vondra of Geneseo, Kansas.

Also surviving are three sisters, Leisa (Mike) Eckstein of Allendale, Deania Sinkler of Cadillac and Rose (fianc+¬ Justin Abbe) Gross, of Midland; five brothers, Joe (Sharon) Massone of Auburn, AL, Jamie (Meghan) Stock of Royal Oak, Peter (fianc+¬e, Chrissy Graham) Gross and of Gaylord, Russell (Heidi) Gross of Roscommon and Alan Gross of Grayling; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Paul Gross.

A service will be conducted at a later date.

Memorial donations may be made to the family.

Walsh Funeral Home, Roscommon is serving the family.
