Shirley A. McCulloch of Roscommon

Shirley A. McCulloch, 86, of Roscommon passed away March 5, 2017 at her home.

Shirley was born March 19, 1930 in Elmira, New York to Judson Rexford and Arlene Mae (Wood) Hoover. She married Donald Thomas McCulloch Nov. 22, 1950 in Kenmore, New York.

They resided in Howell before moving to Roscommon in 1989.

She was a Registered nurse previously working at Hillcrest State Hospital in Howell and the VA Hospital in Ann Arbor where she retired from in 1989.

Shirley loved her children and grandchildren and enjoyed golfing and just sitting on the porch. She was known for always being there to help others in need.

Surviving are five children, Robin Horning of Oberlin, OH, Donald McCulloch, Jr. of Clio, Kevin (Paula) McCulloch of Grandville, Heather (Peter) Moen of Roscommon and Stanley (Andrea) McCulloch of Howell; 13 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Keith (Edie) Hoover of Surprise, AZ and sister, Beverly Brown of Mystic, CT.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald; grandson, Zachary McCulloch; brother, Gordon Hoover and brothers-in-law, Howard Brown and Stanley McCulloch.

No services are planned.

Arrangements were by Walsh Funeral Home, Roscommon.
