Norma Jean Dickinson of Houghton Lake

Norma Jean Dickinson, 90, passed away March 15, 2017 at her Houghton Lake home.

She was born in South Lyon on March 14, 1927 to Harry Garland and Millie Etta (Richey) Edmundson. She married Claude R. Dickinson on Sept. 7, 1945 in Redford Township.

Mrs. Dickinson has been a resident of Houghton Lake since 1986, coming from New Hudson.

She was a homemaker, past member of the New Hudson United Methodist Church, and a life member of Charles M. Engel VFW Post # 4159 Auxiliary.

She enjoyed baking, reading, and crossword puzzles.

Surviving are three children, Mike Dickinson of Houghton Lake, Claudia Smith of Keokee, VA and Roxanne Mills of Conroe, TX; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude; parents; granddaughter, Saundra Garrette; great-grandson, Jonny; sister, Delilah Brill; and three brothers, Earl, Kenneth and Leon Edmundson.

No funeral services are planned. Burial will be at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly.

Memorial donations may be made to Roscommon County Animal Shelter or American Diabetes Association.
