Margaret Colvin, 80, of Whittemore

Margaret Ann Colvin, age 80 of Whittemore, MI., passed away peacefully in Tawas, MI., surrounded by her loving family. Margaret was born on January 1, 1944 in Otter Lake, MI., to the late George and Viola (Youngs) Worden.

Margaret was a longtime resident of Whittemore. After high school she went on to college earning a master’s degree. She worked for Carter’s Grocery stores where she was a manager in the baking department. Margaret served on the Burleigh Twp Zoning and Election Board for many years as well. In her free time she enjoyed painting, gardening, growing flowers, and crocheting.

Margaret married Don Colvin on April 19, 1964 and together they had 4 children.

Margaret is survived by her sons, Gerald (Jena) Colvin, Craig (Marlene) Colvin, Ryan Colvin; daughter, Carole (Bob) Sheehan; brothers, James Worden of Jacksonville, AR., Jon Worden of Whittemore, Ron Worden of Whittemore; sisters, Jeraldean Jones of Columbus, OH., Susan Smith of Whittemore; grandchildren, Steven, Jennifer, Kristin, Brett, Shelby, Wyatt, Brooklyn; great-grandchildren, Baylee, Cooper, Isabelle, August, and many nieces and nephews.

Margaret is preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Larry Worden.

Per Margaret’s wishes, cremation has taken place. There are no planned services. An online guest registry is available at www.bureshfuneralhomes.com to share condolences, memories, and photos of Margaret.
