Gerald ‘Jerry’ Lee Bishop of Roscommon

Gerald ‘Jerry’ Lee Bishop, 73, of Roscommon, died April 20 at home.

He was born May 7, 1942 in Bay City to the late Harold Walter and Isabelle Augusta (Anderson) Bishop. He married Nancy M. (Pollen) Oct. 28, 2001 in Roscommon.

Mr. Bishop was a truck driver for the Bay County Road Commission prior to truck driving for the Crawford County Road Commission from 1990 to 2003. He enjoyed fishing, snowmobiling, motorcycling, horse riding and driving a truck anywhere.

Surviving are his wife, Nancy; children, Leann (Morgan) Neilson and Keith (Storme) Bishop, all of Roscommon; step-children, Ron (Karen) Trojanek of Falmouth and Christine (Daniel) Hernandez of Austin, TX; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren and Gavin Jace on the way.

Also surviving are his brother, Bill (Joan) Bishop of Harrison; mother-in-law, Margaret Pollen of Roscommon; sisters-in-law, Carol (John) Kovach of Roscommon and Charlene Clark (Todd Verdi) of St. Helen and brothers-in-law, Paul Pollen (Mary Jane Sandquist) and Mark (Michele) Pollen, both of Roscommon.

Services by Pastor David E. Stevens will be at 12 p.m. April 29 at Walsh Funeral Home, Roscommon.
