OTSEGO COUNTY – The Michigan State Police (MSP) Gaylord Post is welcoming two new troopers to the post who graduated from the 139th Trooper Recruit School in Lansing this afternoon.
The 139th Trooper Recruit School began on Sunday, March 7, 2021, with 75 prospective troopers, at the MSP Training Academy in Lansing. Recruits received training in patrol techniques, report writing, ethics, cultural diversity and implicit bias, decision making, leadership, first aid, criminal law, crime scene processing, firearms, water safety, defensive tactics, and precision driving.
Trooper Taylor Jukanovich is from Manassas, VA and Trooper Tyler Morse is from Saginaw, MI. Both will start their new assignments at the MSP Gaylord Post on Sunday, August 22, 2021, as they begin the next phase of their training.
