Campbell appointed to community board

JOHANNESBURG – Darren Rhoads, Community President for Chemical Bank, is pleased to announce the appointment of Larry Campbell, Co-Owner of Campbell Farm and Forestry Inc., Campbell Land and Livestock Inc., and Campbell Land Inc., to the Northern Michigan Community Bank Board of Directors.

‘We are very excited to have Larry as a part of the Chemical Bank Community Board in Northern Michigan,’ stated Rhoads. ‘His knowledge of business in the area will provide additional strength and insight to our team; enabling us to better serve our existing and future customers. We are extremely pleased to bring Larry’ broad knowledge, experience, and energy to our board.’

Campbell is a lifelong resident of Johannesburg and graduated from the Johannesburg-Lewiston Area School in 1979. As the co-owner of a commercial hay operation and trucking company, Larry is fully aware of the business world challenges and complexities of running a successful business.

Active in the community, Campbell has previously served on the Otsego County Farm Bureau board and the USDA-Farm Service Agency Board. He and his wife, Renee, have four grown children and six grandchildren. In his personal time, he enjoys spending time with his family, walking in the woods and exploring Northern Michigan.

Chemical Bank incorporates ‘Community Banks’ and establishes a local advisory board that further assists the Bank in meeting the needs of people in the communities it serves. These community members are advocates for Chemical Bank; they are business referral sources who are connected with, and active in, the communities where they live and work. They are a sounding board for Chemical Bank’ management team and relay pertinent information, innovative perspectives and ideas for best practices that continually improve the Bank’ impact within the community.

Chemical Bank’ Northern Michigan Community Board Members are as follows:
Ann K. Burton, Larry Campbell, William L. Carey (Chair), Richard D. Hacker, R. Darren Rhoads, Matthew D. Rooyakker, and Jeremy Tulgestka.
