Inflatable obstacles add new challenge to Shivering Shamrocks

By Christine Swiderski

WEST BRANCH – Spring-like weather was a relief for participants in the 2016 Shivering Shamrocks Run/Walk on March 12 at the West Branch Country Club. For the third year, West Branch Chamber of Commerce members provided obstacles to challenge teams and individuals in the three-kilometer course. New this year, as advertised in the event description, were inflatable obstacles, including a ’60-foot course with tunnels, rock climb and slide, a 30-foot bungee, and more.’

Each participant received a goodie-bag, lunch, and a beer or soft drink. Two groups started 30 minutes apart for a total of 148 participants.
