TAWAS– Volunteers at MyMichigan Medical Center Tawas donated $54,865 to the MyMichigan Health Foundation, funding key initiatives that enhance care for patients and families across the region. Surgical services received three new patient transport chairs to improve comfort and safety, while imaging services added a Parks Flo-Lab system to strengthen the diagnosis of peripheral vascular disease.
Oncology patients will benefit from 200 gas cards to help offset travel costs for treatment, and pediatric patients in both the Pediatrics and Emergency Departments will receive a year’s supply of books through the Reach Out and Read and ER Books programs, creating a more comforting environment during visits.
Hospital leaders praised the volunteers’ generosity, noting their ongoing commitment continues to make a meaningful difference for patients, families, and staff.
