Range firing schedule: October 25-31

GRAYLING – From north to south Camp Grayling has three major range complex areas: Range 40, Range 30, and South Camp. Range activity this week continues with deploying Air and Army Guard units, Michigan State Police, and jets in the sky overhead.

The Range 40 Complex and Air-to-Ground Range is active with A-10’s and F-16’s performing aerial gunnery Monday through Friday. Our Friday F-16 flights are from Minnesota National Guard, so nice to see the Golden Gophers over Michigan air space. Range 45 requires road closures to all traffic southeast of the Range 40 Complex.

All roads and trails east of the range 30 complex are open to civilian traffic. South camp ranges are busy from dawn until midnight. Expect loud booms from demolition on Monday, and possibly loud boos from U of M fans on Saturday, otherwise small arms and machine gun fire is the norm.

Military activity is quiet on the weekend allowing college football fans to watch the big games without interruption, and trick-or-treaters can scare the bajeebers out of the neighbors! Either way stay safe by wearing reflective clothing, reducing speeds, and sharing your candy with mom and dad! Just kidding kids.

There’s always a lot happening on Camp Grayling. To find out more just check us out on FACEBOOK – SEARCH @CAMPGRAYLINGMI. STAY SAFE OUT THERE. GO GREEN is the Army way and if your motto is, “Go Blue!” Well, I guess that is Air Force. Hooah!
