Range firing schedule: October 4-11

GRAYLING, MI – Camp Grayling range activity this week means all things range 40 complex. That means aerial bombing from A-10’s Monday through Thursday, and .50 caliber gunnery on range 45, Monday through Friday.

The bombing on occurs during daylight hours October 4th through 6th, and Thursday’s activity begins at 15:30 (3:30 PM) until 21:30 (9:30 PM).

The outer fence at the southwest corner of Range 40 will be closed to civilian traffic. No other live fire activity is occurring this week. That will help keep things quiet for anyone recreating in and around the area on the 9th, 10th, and 11th (Columbus Day).

Last week Purdue university students conducted environmental sampling surrounding camp grayling.  This week our friends at the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) ask Camp Grayling to inform local residents that they can find more information on water quality and PFAS on their web site. Camp Grayling will provide a couple links on our Facebook page, including a short article on how to get more information.

Thank you and stay safe out there. Hooah!
