Range firing schedule: May 31 – June 6

GRAYLING – Camp Grayling and the nation lowers our flags to half-staff this Memorial Day Monday as we remember those fallen US service members. Training and range activity begins Tuesday, June 1st and runs through Sunday, June 6th.

South Camp live fire ranges, located on Howe and Murphy Roads, west of Lake Margrethe see small arms activity Saturday and Sunday, June 5th and 6th. Roads and trails are OPEN, but use caution as units are conducting field training exercises Thursday into the weekend. As a result, blank fire may be heard as well.

Training on the Range 30 Complex, or MPRC will have blank fire, signal flares, and smoke grenade training Tuesday through Friday only. Roads and trails starting from the MPRC east to Wakely Bridge Road are CLOSED to civilian traffic.

The Range 40 – Air to Ground Range is active as A-10’s perform aerial gunnery daily Tuesday through Friday, June 1st – 4th. Thursday evening is the only scheduled night fire activity this week for Air-to-Ground. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, June 4th, 5th and 6h, live fire training occurs at the south end of the complex on Range 41 and 45. For public safety roads and trails adjacent to the Range 40 Complex will be CLOSED during this period.

Camp Grayling reminds you to check the Fire Danger daily with your local DNR Office and acquire a burn permit first before starting any fires.
