Credit Union shatters food drive record

FIFE LAKE — The Forest Area Federal Credit Union (FAFCU) raised a record $60,000 during its November food drive, surpassing last year’s $39,000 total and exceeding its $50,000 goal. The funds will support 13 community food pantries across Grand Traverse, Missaukee, Wexford, and Kalkaska Counties.

This year, FAFCU boosted its branch matching contributions to $3,000 per branch, helping drive the record-breaking results. “Reaching $60,000 shows what’s possible when our members and communities come together,” said CEO Alex Lutke.

FAFCU operates seven branches across the region and continues its mission of serving and supporting local communities.
