Mio dairy voluntarily recalls milk products

MIO – The Farmers’ Creamery of Mio is voluntarily recalling a variety of milk products produced by the company between March 11-13.

A statement from the Michigan Department of Agriculture said the company is recalling the products because incoming raw milk was not properly tested for drug residue prior to production, as outlined in The Pasteurized Milk Ordinance.

No illnesses or hospitalizations have been reported.

Voluntarily recalled products include Fluid Whole Milk, Fluid 2% Milk, Fluid Skim Milk, Fluid Chocolate Milk, Fluid Moo-Cacino Milk, Fluid Salted Caramel Milk, Fluid Heavy Cream and Fluid Half & Half.

Products can be identified by “The Farmers’ Creamery 26-034” on the label. Lot codes for the fluid products are identified by “Sell By 3 28” and “Sell By 3 30”.

The Farmers’ Creamery notified its distributors to arrange for pick-up of all recalled products. Customers with recalled products should return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.
